Beltane Fire Festival

Hundreds of volunteer performers form a procession of fire dancing, drums and spectacle, making their way around Calton Hill as characters from ancient lore enact the end of winter the birth of summer. Join thousands of people who come from around the world each year to witness the madness of a celebration unlike any other, with incredible night views across the city.

We’re very excited to introduce our Beltane Fire Festival 2016 Court! Say hello to our May Queen, Anna Chaney, and our Green Man, Josh Bergamin. This will be Anna’s fourth year as May Queen and you might recognise Josh from previous performances with the Beastie Drummers (although he’ll be painted a different colour this time around). We can’t wait to see their story unfold for this year’s festival.
